PAST / Tea & the Art of Kokedama with forage & BLOOM

A kokedama workshop hosted by forage & BLOOM

1 day course / 2 hour session

Sat. April 28 / 2-4PM

Join Amanda of forage & BLOOM for an afternoon exploring this Japanese style of bonsai-making. Create your own unique living works of art, and commune with us over a selection of tea and baked goods.

Participants will create two moss balls, one large and one small. All supplies will be provided, which includes: moss, twine, soil, scissors and plants. This is a unique opportunity to make living works of art. Considered the poor man's bonsai, kokedamas bring the elements of wabi-sabi into your home.

forage & BLOOM's owner and creator, Amanda Langerak comes from a strong lineage of gardeners, farmers and creative types. Through the use of home grown, foraged and locally sourced flowers and plants she aims to highlight all that's wild and pretty in nature. As a self taught florist her work is unique and full of nostalgia, whimsy and rambling beauty. Her designs feel both modern and retro as she combines the use of fresh and dried materials.
